Our take on Kona II: Brume
Rather than centering on combat or a string of quests, this adventure frames exploration as a detective investigation. Evidence gathered in the landscape feeds into a journal, while narration and survival pressures shape the journey through the mystery.
What is Kona II: Brume?
Set in Northern Québec in 1970, the game follows detective Carl Faubert as he investigates the Brume, a strange mist that distorts a mining village and its surroundings.
Explore the fictional region of Manastan on foot or by dog sled, searching buildings, nearby locations and lakes for clues. The investigation involves examining objects, letters and documents, then consulting Carl’s journal to connect the findings. An omniscient narrator accompanies the journey. Survival also matters: blizzards, wildlife and nightmares threaten Faubert as he searches for the Brume’s origins and a way to end it. The story includes stranded victims and survivors of an avalanche.
