Rather than keeping every level focused on gunfights, the game mixes shooter combat with optional activities such as baking, investigating a crime scene, and playing Basketcube. Bear transformations and weapon evolution also depart from a standard FPS loop.
What is Bears In Space?
Bears In Space is a fast-paced first-person shooter starring Maxwell Atoms, a spacefarer whose DNA is fused with Beartana, a she-bear.
Fight robot enemies across wastelands, space carnivals, and ancient temples with guns, gadgets, dashing, and double jumps. Finding honey pots lets Maxwell transform into a bear and use distinct bear powers. Challenges and loot crates provide ways to acquire weapons, while kills grant experience to the equipped gun and move it toward later upgrade tiers. Levels also contain secrets, collectibles, and optional encounters, including baking a cake, investigating a crime scene, battling a Rock God, playing Basketcube, and busting ghosts. Difficulty settings use separate sliders for incoming and outgoing damage, while Platform Helper makes platforming sections easier.
