Play it if you…
Good fit- Pirate adventure fans who want trading and ship customization alongside naval battles
- Action RPG players who want quests, combat skills, and changing settlements
- Exploration-focused players who want hidden maps, treasures, fishing, and side missions
Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players seeking a fixed difficulty curve may bounce off when conquered settlements change the challenge
- Players who prefer a tightly linear adventure may find the changing routes, trading, and side activities distracting
- Players who do not want weather and wind to affect sailing may hit a wall during fog, storms, or changing wind conditions
Our take on King of Seas
The bounce point arrives in the first serious naval encounters, when movement, wind direction, weather, and combat skills must be managed together. Players expecting straightforward cannon exchanges may hit a wall when storms affect sailing and rising bounties bring tougher opponents.
