Our take on Salt
Rather than centering its adventure on a fixed route or conventional dungeon structure, Salt makes choosing a direction and sailing outward the main activity. Quests, trading, fishing, hunting, mapping, and ship decoration sit within an open-ended ocean that supports a self-chosen pace.
What is Salt?
Salt is an open-world exploration game built around sailing between islands in search of discoveries and loot.
Players begin with basic resources for building a raft, then choose their own direction across a procedurally generated ocean. The journey includes a main quest, more than 50 side quests, ancient ruins, merchants, pirates, cultists, wildlife, and other mysterious locations. Ships can be upgraded, decorated, and used as homes at sea. An RPG-style loot system includes hundreds of weapons, armor pieces, resources, and unusual items with different rarities. Players can chart discovered islands and notable locations on an in-game map, trade rare items, fish, hunt wildlife, or sail at a relaxed pace. Cooperative play allows adventures with friends.
