RPGIs Sailist worth it for you?
We tell you who should skip it, too.
Play it if you…
Good fit- Players drawn to maritime trading who want to compare goods and build routes between ports
- Fleet-command fans who prefer assigning ship actions and managing formations in battle
- Settlement builders who want to claim land and develop towns in an ocean setting
Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players seeking a tightly directed story may find the focus on choosing a route across open seas less structured
- Those who prefer brief, self-contained sessions may not want to manage trade, ships, and town development over time
- Players looking for a land-based adventure may not want a game centered on sea travel and fleet management
Our take on Sailist
Fleet combat is managed through orders to individual ships: formations can be adjusted as battles unfold, with combat vessels directed to flank and transports sent into evasive maneuvers.
What is Sailist?
Sailist is an open-sea adventure about expanding a fleet and choosing a life on the water.
Travel among ports, trade in regional goods, and complete town requests to build trust and increase contribution. During fleet battles, issue orders to individual ships, adjust formations, flank enemies, and send vulnerable transport ships into evasive maneuvers. Claim vacant shores, move construction materials, and build ports and other structures for a developing settlement. Decorate the cabin on a ship with items placed freely throughout its interior.
In online national competitions, complete town requests and hunt pirates to raise a nation’s standing. Each week, the nation with the highest contribution total becomes a town’s official ally, gaining store discounts and other economic benefits. Voyages can be experienced from first-person or third-person perspectives, ranging from peaceful travel to raids.
