Our take on Uncharted Ocean
The page pitches a broad sailing world with trade, combat, port development, and exploration, but the PC release is still an Early Access Beta. Its own caveat that features may change puts those promised systems in a provisional context.
What is Uncharted Ocean?
Set in the Age of Discovery, between 1400 and 1600 CE, this sailing RPG begins at the Port of Faro.
Choose from 8 nationalities, each with distinct skills, allies, and enemies, then grow a fleet through trade, piracy, and port upgrades. The world includes nearly one hundred ports with different goods and characters. Ships can be customized with hulls, cannons, and figureheads, and encounters include naval battles and sword duels. Wind, fog, and storms affect sailing and can damage ships. Exploration includes treasure in sunken ruins and collectibles, while a black market offers goods through harder-to-find smugglers. The PC release is in Early Access Beta, and its features are subject to change before final launch.
