Our take on Inertia
The focus on movement, leaderboard competition, and custom stages leaves little room for broader adventure systems or narrative progression. Its structure favors repeated attempts and player-made content over a varied campaign with multiple gameplay systems.
What is Inertia?
Inertia is a first-person platformer built around free-running movement.
It includes 48+ original levels with increasing difficulty. Players can use keyboard and mouse controls or a controller, switching between them during play. Each level has a global leaderboard for competitive ranking. An in-game editor lets players build new stages from scratch and save them to a file for distribution to friends. Steam Workshop support provides distribution for community-created levels. The game was developed in Unreal Engine 4 and draws inspiration from other free-running and movement-based games and game modes.
