What is Hello Goodboy?
Hello Goodboy is a non-linear adventure about Iko, a boy who arrives in the afterlife without memories of his past.
With Coco, a familiar dog, he explores strange yet recognizable places, meets souls with their own stories, and performs favors for them. These encounters reveal mysteries about the world beyond and Iko’s fate. Time is limited, so choosing which souls to visit can prevent other relationships from developing. Decisions influence the story through multiple endings.
Iko and Coco can also investigate metaphysical mysteries together, combining Coco’s nose with Iko’s fixing skills. Along the way, players can give Coco bellyrubs and toys to fill his Goodboy-o-meter. The journey presents a personal fairy-tale atmosphere centered on kindness, companionship, character relationships, and choices in the afterlife.
