Our take on Flux8
Magnetic polarity is the defining constraint: progress depends on choosing when Newt and Tess should attract or repel each other and the surrounding environment.
What is Flux8?
Flux8 is a puzzle-platform game about Newt and Tess, two sentient magnets escaping a factory.
Magnetic polarity drives movement: attraction and repulsion let the magnets navigate hazards and reach freedom. Levels focus on understanding how opposite and similar forces interact in the factory environment. The game includes separate solo and cooperative campaigns. One player can control both magnets independently, or two players can participate in local co-op. Floppy discs collected during the escape can be used to change the characters' accessories. A built-in level editor supports creating custom stages, with Steam Workshop integration for sharing them.
