Our take on Couch Monsters
The defining mechanic links the two monsters: anything eaten by one is expelled by the other. Puzzle solving therefore depends on positioning, timing, and deciding where an object should reappear, with the same rule also shaping opportunities for playful sabotage.
What is Couch Monsters?
Couch Monsters is a local co-op puzzle game for two players.
Each monster has a portal-like mouth: when one consumes an object, the other expels it. Players use this transfer rule, momentum, and spatial reasoning to solve physics-based challenges and reach couches across 30 hand-crafted levels. Team communication is required, while emotes allow playful sabotage. A hint system provides assistance when players are stuck. The game supports Remote Play Together for online play with a friend and includes more than 30 pieces of original music. A single-player mode covers the same levels while one person controls both monsters simultaneously; this mode is described as challenging and requires a controller. Total play time is about 3 to 5 hours.
