Our take on Fields XY
Rather than keeping platforming focused on one character and one route, the game makes simultaneous control central to progress. Its top-down character can create paths for another character, while the temporary-trail character changes some sections into faster movement challenges.
What is Fields XY?
Fields XY combines platforming with top-down movement puzzles.
One character moves with the arrow keys, navigating hazards, towers, teleporters, and goals. A second character moves across the XY plane with WASD and creates platforms along its path, allowing both characters to reach otherwise inaccessible areas. A third character works similarly but leaves a temporary trail that fades, introducing faster-paced platforming sections. Progress depends on coordinating movement and planning routes so an exit does not become unreachable. The game currently includes 50 levels. A built-in editor allows custom stages using the game's blocks, with publishing through the Steam Workshop for other players to test.
