Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players seeking broad movement systems, combat variety, or an expansive exploration structure may find the one-button format restrictive.
- Those wanting a relaxed, low-pressure platformer may find the precision puzzles, enemies, bosses, hard mode, and time trials demanding.
- Players looking for a long cooperative campaign may find the shared-screen mode limited to more than 50 dedicated levels.
Our take on Koloro
The minimalist control scheme is the headline, but the game also asks players to handle puzzle solving, precision movement, enemies, bosses, hard mode, and time trials. That makes Koloro less purely simple than its one-button premise initially suggests.
What is Koloro?
Koloro is a puzzle-platform game about Kora, a pink-haired girl searching for her missing sister in a world combining dreams and nightmares.
Its one-button structure centers on jumping, wall-jumping, and sliding after Kora transforms into a square. Players navigate puzzles, avoid obstacles and shadow creatures, and face large bosses across more than 300 levels. A shared-screen cooperative mode adds a parallel story with over 50 additional levels for two players. After completing the main adventure, hard mode becomes available, alongside time-trial challenges across the levels. The game also includes hidden bonuses, dreamlike environments, character-focused storytelling, and an original soundtrack with ambient sound design.
