Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players seeking a fixed sequence of areas may bounce off the procedurally generated level structure.
- Players who prefer a consistently moderate challenge may hit a wall when selecting Hardcore mode.
- Players looking for an adventure without buying, selling, or gambling may not want its loot economy.
Our take on FATE: Undiscovered Realms
The clearest bounce point is the optional Hardcore mode. Players who are comfortable with the familiar RPG structure may still hit a difficulty wall after selecting it. The procedural level structure is another potential friction point for anyone expecting a fixed route through the adventure.
What is FATE: Undiscovered Realms?
FATE: Undiscovered Realms follows a quest for the Book of Fate and the defense of the Grove.
Heroes created in the first FATE can be brought into this sequel. Each journey builds its environments procedurally, including underground areas, ancient worship sites, woodland regions, and frozen wastelands. Compared with the original, it provides additional pet forms, weapons, creatures, quests, and dungeon areas. Found loot can be traded, sold, or used in gambling. The game retains a traditional RPG structure and includes an optional Hardcore setting. Steam extras include collectible cards, badges, emoticons, and profile backgrounds.
