Our take on BrawlQuest
The mix of combat, exploration, and creation comes with a trade-off: players looking for a tightly focused fighting game will also encounter mining, crafting, and home building as part of the experience.
What is BrawlQuest?
BrawlQuest combines action combat with exploration, crafting, mining, and player building.
Combat involves positioning, health and mana management, and choosing melee attacks or ranged magic; characters can switch among 3 classes. Level-ups let players allocate points to strength, intelligence, or stamina, while enemies and bosses have abilities or tactics to learn. The hand-crafted world contains hidden routes, secrets, settlements, and more than 200 lines of NPC dialogue. Players can gather materials, craft weapons and armor, and build homes without instanced areas. Group fights provide personal loot for each kill. The game also includes mounts, boats, non-combat pets, and a prestige system for continued armor progression. Its simple design avoids microtransactions and subscriptions.
