Our take on FATE
FATE concentrates on dungeon runs, combat, loot, spells, trading, and pet growth rather than a broader narrative or social structure. Its generated environments trade fixed environmental progression for variation between explorations.
What is FATE?
FATE is an action RPG set near the town of Grove, where players travel through the Old Wood and Dungeon Gate into underground areas.
Combat involves battling creatures while collecting weapons and learning spells. Procedurally generated caverns, dungeons, mines, and tunnels provide the exploration structure. Players can buy and sell items, try their luck with a shopkeeper, and choose either a dog or cat as a pet. The pet can evolve into stronger creatures over time. The Steam release also includes trading cards, badges with six collection levels, emoticons, and profile backgrounds. Its gameplay centers on repeated dungeon exploration, fighting, collecting equipment, spell use, trading, and pet development.
How FATE plays

- 04Steam Collectibles
