RPGIs Fantasy Hero Manager worth it for you?
We tell you who should skip it, too.
Play it if you…
Good fit- Players who enjoy managing a roster of fantasy heroes rather than controlling one central character
- RPG fans who prefer generated exploration and varied activities to a fixed sequence of locations
- Players who like tracking relationships and upkeep alongside combat and quests
Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players looking for a tightly scripted story may find the randomly generated world and broad activity list less focused.
- Players who want detailed direct control over every battle may not prefer the auto-battle option.
- Players seeking a short, linear adventure may not want to manage an ongoing party across revisitable maps.
Our take on Fantasy Hero Manager
The page gives substantial space to exploration and party relationships, while the described play also involves recurring upkeep: salaries, sobriety, moods, recovery, and replacing heroes who die or leave. That management workload is a central part of the premise rather than a minor side activity.
What is Fantasy Hero Manager?
Command a magical airship on a quest to find Vrool and the Fountain of Eternal Youth.
Recruit heroes, negotiate their salaries, manage their moods, and replace those who leave or die. Explore a randomly generated world with eight biomes and hundreds of locations. Take quests, fight monsters, gather resources, and craft equipment and supplies. Heroes have individual stats, traits, skills, relationships, and recovery rates; they can form friendships, marry, grieve, or become bored. Battles include an auto-battle option for all or selected heroes, with aggression settings. A single interface keeps party management and combat on the map or battle screen. The world also includes moon phases, star signs, location-specific buying and selling taxes, and saved maps that can be revisited.
