Our take on Etherborn
Its defining mechanic makes gravity perpendicular to the surface being stood on, turning each structure into a route-finding puzzle where changing orientation determines movement.
What is Etherborn?
Etherborn is an environmental puzzle platformer focused on exploring structures where gravity changes according to the surface beneath the character.
Players guide a voiceless being through surreal levels built as navigation puzzles, examining, manipulating, and shifting the environment to find a route forward. Gravity acts perpendicular to the surface occupied, creating different ways to move through each structure. The journey follows the character’s attempt to reach an ethereal voice and understand its existence.
Each level has its own original soundtrack, while the visual atmosphere draws inspiration from artists of the 20th and 21st centuries. The game is best played with a gamepad and includes English, Spanish, and Catalan audio and text, plus text support in German, French, Italian, Russian, Japanese, Simplified Chinese, and Korean.
