- Adventure fans who enjoy characters based on everyday containers
- Players interested in communicating through words or exchanged fluids rather than conventional dialogue alone
Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players seeking combat-focused gameplay may bounce off its story, communication, and situational-interaction structure.
- Players who prefer straightforward object use may hit a wall when a situation calls for pretending to be a pot or exchanging fluids for information.
- Players seeking multiplayer gameplay will not find it in this single-player adventure.
Our take on EmptyBottle
The bounce point comes when fluid exchange becomes part of the interaction system: pouring too much leaves the bottle empty, which the game describes as being dead. Players who do not want to manage that consequence may stop there.
What is EmptyBottle?
EmptyBottle is a 2D, single-player, story-driven adventure set in a world populated by bottles, cups, jars, and barrels.
A bottle rescues a cup from the evil Formula, then begins a journey with her while trying to make sense of its life. Communication can happen through words or by exchanging fluids, and other characters may respond negatively. The bottle encounters situations involving flirting with a perfume bottle, pretending to be a pot, opening a lock with a key, and pouring into others to gain information. Fluid exchange carries a consequence: if the bottle is emptied, it is described as dead. The story also includes meeting a girl and pursuing the bottle’s destiny.
