Our take on Dropsy
Instead of steering players along one narrative route, the adventure lets them choose which areas and story threads to pursue. It also replaces text dialogue trees with visual icons, making communication part of its departure from the familiar point-and-click structure.
What is Dropsy?
Dropsy follows a clown whose life changes after a deadly circus fire.
With his father gravely ill and his reputation damaged, he travels through an open world, helps people, hugs strangers, and uncovers secrets connected to his past. The adventure departs from a single fixed route: players choose which areas to explore and can piece together many puzzles and story elements in different ways, at their own pace. Characters communicate through visual icons instead of text-based dialogue trees. Solving puzzles can involve help from animal friends, and Dropsy can talk to animals. The game combines exploration and puzzle-solving with a story focused on love and unmerited kindness.
