Our take on NOMANUAL
The focus on scheduled hotel duties and changing anomalies leaves less room for free-form exploration. Survival also depends on balancing mental power, stamina, and item use, which adds decision-making but may interrupt a purely atmospheric horror pace.
What is NOMANUAL?
NOMANUAL is a first-person, single-player psychological horror adventure set in a hotel where the player works night shifts as a security guard.
Each day brings a new job that must be completed while dealing with unpredictable supernatural abnormalities. A rulebook provides information for recognizing and handling these phenomena, while hidden tools can be used at suitable moments. Exposure to intense abnormalities reduces mental power, and stamina is needed when escaping danger, so decisions about when to act or stop affect survival. The objective is to complete the daily assignments, reach the final workday, and piece together the hotel's hidden story.
How NOMANUAL plays
- 01Daily Work Assignments
- Each shift provides a new mission that must be finished before progressing toward the final day.
- 02Anomaly Rulebook

- 03Mental Power Management
- Contact with intense phenomena lowers the character's mental power during play.
- 04Stamina-Based Escapes
- Stamina is required to get away from threats, making decisions about movement part of survival.
- 05Hidden Survival Items
- Tools found around the hotel can be used at selected moments against abnormalities.
