Our take on Floor 9
Players who need clear feedback may hit the wall at the two-button decision, where the game offers no hint or map to confirm an anomaly. Those who make one wrong call then face a full reset to the top, turning a lapse in observation into a complete restart.
What is Floor 9?
Floor 9 is an observation adventure set in Hotel Liminal.
Each level presents a corridor filled with details such as paintings, doors, signs, lights, carpet, and windows. One button indicates that an anomaly is present; the other indicates that everything is normal. The choice determines whether the descent continues. A wrong decision resets the run to the top, with no map, markers, hints, or return path. The game uses visual details and sound to create uncertainty, including small changes such as an opened door or a shifted painting. It contains nine floors and is intended as a focused experience, with most players reaching the exit in under an hour.
How Floor 9 plays

- 03Detailed Hotel Setting

- 04Sound-Based Clues
- Audio contributes to the observation process alongside the visual details.
- 05Short Completion Time
- Typical playthroughs finish in less than 60 minutes.
