Our take on Eldervale
Players who want a long-form campaign may bounce off when the main experience reaches its end after 3–4 hours. Those who dislike splitting attention between combat, puzzle settings, stealth, and consumable management may hit their wall during the Institution’s survival sections.
What is Eldervale?
Eldervale is a third-person survival horror adventure set in the Delaney Institution, a large interconnected environment tied to Ophelia Delaney’s suppressed memories.
Exploration uses maps and collected consumables, while puzzles and obstacles open new routes. Survival combines combat, stealth, escape, and resource management against more than a dozen enemy and danger types. The story develops across a 3–4 hour playtime, with encounters involving other characters and choices about their fate. Players can set separate difficulty options for combat and puzzles, activate a Special Mode with random events, and pursue multiple endings, alternate costumes, and achievements. The Deep Reserves expansion adds its own progression system and additional rewards.
