Our take on Crisol: Theater of Idols
Using health as ammunition creates a direct combat trade-off: attacking also reduces the resource needed to stay alive. That design limits sustained firing and makes weapon use part of survival management rather than a separate combat concern.
What is Crisol: Theater of Idols?
Crisol: Theater of Idols is a survival horror adventure set in Hispania, a nightmarish reimagining of Spain.
As Gabriel, a soldier serving a divine mission from the Sun God, players explore the cursed island of Tormentosa. Its environments include eerie landscapes, ruined structures, and maze-like streets tied to cults, folklore, and blood sacrifice. Gabriel uses his own blood as ammunition and must avoid exhausting his life while firing weapons and solving puzzles. Powers can be upgraded to increase damage, extend combat capabilities, and provide combat bonuses. Coins found during exploration improve weapons, while different weapons suit different situations. The story combines historical elements, religious themes, and supernatural threats, including animated statues and other horrifying enemies.
