Our take on Dungeons of Hinterberg
The game combines dungeon exploration with town relationships, so time spent on social connections is part of the experience rather than an optional detour. Starting over also preserves much of the previous run’s progress, which limits how completely a new playthrough can reset.
What is Dungeons of Hinterberg?
Play as Luisa on a dungeon-exploring vacation in Hinterberg, a tourist town in the Austrian Alps.
Explore alpine settings by climbing mountains, snowboarding, and visiting lakeside areas, or enter dungeons filled with puzzles. Use spells to solve each dungeon’s puzzles and battle monsters with sword and magic skills, including wind, a conjured hoverboard, and ice that traps enemies in jelly. In town, spend evenings building friendships with locals and other adventurers; some relationships provide ways to grow stronger. The town also has Olivia’s Store for outfits and a Photo Mode with filters, poses, and overlays. A new playthrough can retain the previous run’s inventory, stats, and most relationship perks, with an option to reset relationship progress.
