Our take on KitHack Model Club
The focus on construction, physics, and player-made content comes with a smaller overall game than some players may expect. Development ended earlier than intended, and no future updates are planned, so the experience depends heavily on existing systems and community material.
What is KitHack Model Club?
KitHack Model Club is a physics-based sandbox for constructing and operating radio-controlled vehicles.
The Vehicle Editor allows parts such as wings, wheels, engines, rockets, paintball guns, paint, and decals to be combined into planes, boats, cars, and hybrid designs. Vehicle geometry affects aerodynamics, buoyancy, wheel friction, and handling. Wirraway Bay provides challenges and free-roaming areas with traffic and pedestrians. Multiplayer matches support up to 16 players. The Scenario Editor allows custom missions and game modes, while Steam Workshop supports sharing vehicles, missions, maps, parts, and other modifications. An SDK includes tools and examples. The developer notes that development ended earlier than intended, the game has less content than some players may expect, and no future updates are planned.
