RPGIs Spirit of the Island worth it for you?
We tell you who should skip it, too.
Play it if you…
Good fit- Players who enjoy farming and crafting games with island exploration rather than combat-focused adventures.
- Two players looking for online co-op that includes the story and farming activities.

Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players seeking a tightly directed campaign may find the open-ended mix of activities less structured.

Our take on Spirit of the Island
The open-ended activity mix gives players room to choose how to spend time, but offers less emphasis on a narrowly paced, linear journey. The alternative starting island adds space while making the opening more challenging.
What is Spirit of the Island?
This life-simulation RPG combines farming, crafting, exploration, and island management in a tropical archipelago.
Grow crops, raise animals, gather resources, cook, and make goods to sell in shops to visitors. Explore 14 islands, meet local characters, search caves, and collect items for a museum. The game has 10 skills, including farming, mining, foraging, crafting, fishing, and social skills; fishing has its own mini-game. Progress unlocks recipes and develops skills. Online co-op supports two players, with the single-player features and story available together. Character customization lets players change their character without restarting. A new starting island offers more room but makes the beginning more challenging.
