Our take on Dungeonball
The defining choice is treating dodgeball as first-person dungeon combat: hands handle attacks, defense, keys, and potions, while throwable slimes add physical interactions to each run.
What is Dungeonball?
Dungeonball combines first-person play with dodgeball combat in procedurally generated dungeons.
Players use their hands to throw with force, block incoming attacks, carry keys, and hold potions for later use. Combat uses physics and can produce unexpected interactions, including picking up slimes and hurling them into walls. Dungeon levels become increasingly difficult as the run continues, making progress a question of how deep into the dungeon a player can get. The game offers about 1 hour of gameplay and uses a roguelike structure, with each run moving through generated environments rather than a fixed dungeon layout.
How Dungeonball plays
- 01Hand-Based Combat
- Throws, blocks, key carrying, and potion handling all use the player's hands.
- 02Generated Dungeons
- Dungeon layouts are created procedurally and become harder as the run advances.
- 03Physics Interactions
- Slimes can be picked up and launched into walls during combat.
