Our take on Dr. Tacocat
Rather than using a fixed skatepark or a progression-driven career, the game places trick play inside an endless runner. Short sessions, generated stages, automatic recovery from falls, and immediate access to every trick replace the genre’s usual structured advancement.
What is Dr. Tacocat?
Dr.
Tacocat is a skateboarding runner set in the endless pixel world of Mreowfield. Players ollie, kickflip, grind, and collect tacos while avoiding pug patrols, neighbors, and other obstacles. Tacos serve as the only defense against failed tricks and hazards. The game includes 8 flip tricks, 4 grinds, and 4 grabs, along with items that affect speed, traction, invincibility, and motivation. Four zones include a boardwalk, suburbia, the city, and rooftops. Procedurally generated levels vary each run, while board speed can be controlled through pushing. Falls return the skater to the action. There are no classes, locked content, or progression system, with all tricks available from the start. Runs are intended for 10–20 minute sessions.
