Our take on Drifting Lands
The hybrid format gives gear and build choices a role in a side-scrolling shooter, but it also makes combat performance depend on both piloting and equipment decisions. Players focused solely on either shooter execution or inventory planning may find that split less suited to their preferred style.
What is Drifting Lands?
Drifting Lands combines horizontal shoot-'em-up combat with action-RPG systems.
Missions are randomly generated, and players can climb 100 difficulty levels through piloting skill or gear and power optimization. The game includes 70 active and passive powers, such as dashes, area attacks, and time control, alongside items with stat modifiers and unique effects. Three ship classes support different play styles: fragile, high-damage ships put more weight on field performance, while tougher ships allow more room for building around powers and equipment. Its structure brings character and gear progression into a side-scrolling shooter, rather than relying on shooting alone.
