Our take on Dream Sketcher
Instead of relying on a single fixed adventure structure, Dream Sketcher combines investigative role-playing with random maps and deck-building. Its scripts can end in more than 5 ways, making player choices part of how each dream investigation develops.
What is Dream Sketcher?
Dream Sketcher is an investigative adventure for 1–4 players, with players taking the roles of Dreamland Security agents who enter dreams to investigate a crisis affecting people trapped there.
Adventures combine puzzles, decisions, dice rolls, and combat. Each script offers more than 5 possible endings, with choices shaping the story. Random scenes, encounters, and deduction plots bring variety to each adventure. A deck can be built from a selection of over 150 cards, matching an investigator’s abilities with the scenario’s theme. Investigators have distinct skills, and some non-player characters can later become playable investigators. The game also features roguelike deck-building on random maps, with scenarios themed around disasters, mysteries, adventure, and Chinese folk horror.
