Draw a custom hero using the game's drawing tools, then guide that character through an adventure about defeating the Corruption.
Levels contain puzzles, monsters, secrets, collectibles, and concealed routes. A hub world connects encounters with other characters and their requests. Players can create and store unlimited hero and tool drawings in a Sketchbook, switching between them during play. New pencils can affect bosses and the surrounding world, while rescued Color Buddies add colors to drawings. Exploration also reveals coloring guides, tool blueprints, and pencils. The game includes creatures such as Oozes, Trolls, Bully Goats, and an Evil Hamster, with three-star completion available for every level.
