Our take on Draugen
The mystery is built around companionship and an unreliable viewpoint rather than a detached investigation. Its setting also responds to weather and the protagonist’s mental state, making perception part of the adventure’s structure.
What is Draugen?
Draugen is a single-player, first-person mystery set in Norway in 1923.
Edward Charles Harden, an American traveler and increasingly unreliable narrator, arrives in a forgotten coastal village to search for his missing sister. Lissie, an independent young woman, accompanies him during the investigation. Players explore the community, interact with Lissie through a dynamic dialogue system, and piece together a story involving suspense, deception, and hidden secrets. The village’s appearance changes with the weather and Edward’s mental state. The game includes English voice acting, motion-captured characters, and an original musical score. What begins as a search for a missing woman develops into a journey through Edward’s painful past.
