Our take on DRAGON QUEST MONSTERS: The Dark Prince
The Steam edition leaves out the console version's real-time Online Battles. Competition is instead represented by automated Quickfire Contests, where matches use other players' party data rather than live opponents.
What is DRAGON QUEST MONSTERS: The Dark Prince?
Build a monster team while guiding Psaro through Nadiria, where seasons and weather change and different areas draw out different monsters.
Recruit creatures in battle, then combine two monsters through synthesis to create a new one. The game includes more than 500 monsters and the Mole Hole, Coach Joe's Dungeon Gym, and Treasure Trunks DLC packs from the console version. Psaro becomes a Monster Wrangler because a curse prevents him from harming anything with monster blood. Quickfire Contests use automated battles against party data from 30 other players. Once a day, these contests can award stat-boosting items; monsters from defeated teams can also join the roster, up to rank B.
