Is Demigod worth it for you?
We tell you who should skip it, too.
Play it if you…
Good fit- Strategy players who want direct control of a hero alongside support troops
- RPG fans who want character leveling and equipment within real-time arena battles
- Multiplayer groups interested in objective-based matches with resource capture and team upgrades
Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players seeking a traditional turn-based strategy structure may bounce off the continuous real-time battles and simultaneous objectives.
- Players who prefer a single fixed character may hit a wall when choosing among 8 demigods with different abilities and play styles.
- Players looking primarily for tower-building defense may find the focus on demigod combat, troop control, and capturing positions too combat-centered.
- Players wanting only solo play may not use the multiplayer, LAN, custom Internet, and tournament modes.
Our take on Demigod
The likely bounce point arrives when several systems require attention at once: leveling the demigod, selecting abilities, directing troops, capturing flags, securing gold mines, and advancing the team’s war score.
What is Demigod?
Demigod combines live tactical combat with role-playing in a magical setting.
Eight playable demigods command allied troops in arena conflicts against opposing forces, using individual powers. Teams claim flags, mines, and other control points to gain resources and accumulate war points that unlock Citadel improvements. Every match begins with the chosen demigod at level 1; defeating foes and taking flags grants experience, which opens new abilities and skills. Artifacts carry over between matches, and favor earned in play can buy items that remain available across games. The game offers solo skirmishes, an online tournament, multiplayer matches, LAN sessions, and custom Internet battles.
