Play it if you…
Good fit- Groups of friends who want cooperative tabletop-style dungeon crawling
- Players who prefer turn-based RPG battles with distinct character roles
- Cross-platform groups looking to play together across supported devices
Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players seeking a solo-focused RPG may hit a wall when party coordination becomes central to surviving quests.
- Players wanting fast, continuous combat may bounce off the turn-based structure of spells, dice, and miniature movement.
- Players looking for a traditional single-player campaign may find the cooperative party format restrictive.
Our take on Demeo
Players who prefer immediate action may bounce off the turn-based encounter flow, where movement, dice, spells, and role coordination all happen before the adventure progresses. Solo-oriented players may also hit a wall when survival depends on assembling and coordinating a party.
What is Demeo?
Demeo is a cooperative dungeon-crawling RPG for groups of up to four players.
Each adventurer selects a role, including hunter, sorcerer, assassin, guardian, bard, warlock, or barbarian, with distinct abilities and skills. Parties explore dangerous underworld settings, cast spells, roll dice, move miniatures, search for treasure, and fight through turn-based encounters. The game includes several adventures, such as The Black Sarcophagus, Realm of the Rat King, Roots of Evil, and Reign of Madness. Players can form cross-play parties across Steam, PlayStation 5, PS VR2, Quest, and Pico. The VR version also includes Heroes’ Hangout, a social space with avatar customization and arcade-style activities.
