Our take on Crimson Keep
Permadeath makes each descent consequential: a failed run ends rather than simply returning the player to the same attempt.
What is Crimson Keep?
Crimson Keep is a first-person action RPG set in the dungeons beneath the ruined village of Larkstead.
Players explore a changing labyrinth, scavenge for supplies, and fight monsters while seeking the remains of an ancient castle. Weapons vary in attack speed, damage arcs, and special attacks; classes and abilities offer different strengths and weaknesses. Combat includes aiming for enemy weak points, while areas, creatures, and loot are generated anew each run. The game includes permadeath, hunger, cursed items, and gods to worship. Achievements unlock additional abilities and equipment, and completing the game opens further areas and bosses. The goal is to find the Crimson Keep and escape the dungeon.
How Crimson Keep plays

- 02Run-Based Generation
