Our take on Cosmochoria
The arcade framing gives combat and score-chasing the spotlight, while the game also includes planting, base construction, exploration, pets, artifacts, and mysteries. That broader mix may make the experience feel less like a pure shooter than its energetic action language suggests.
What is Cosmochoria?
Cosmochoria is an arcade adventure game about a small cosmonaut using a jetpack and laser blaster to restore a dying galaxy.
Players travel between planets, plant seeds that grow into plants and produce more seeds, fight aliens and giant space creatures, and collect crystals for ability upgrades. A tower-building system supports defense around a chosen home base, while a mini-map upgrade tracks movement through the galaxy. Each game uses a procedurally generated galaxy, with secrets, artifacts, pets, an alien hermit, and story details revealed across consecutive games. The game combines high-score action, boss fights, exploration, and garden development with a hand-crafted vector art style and an electronic soundtrack.
