Our take on Volcan Defend the Tower
The open-world setting and exploration receive strong emphasis, but the central objectives remain defending towers and surviving recurring Ganthar assaults. The structure combines roaming and story discovery with repeated defensive combat rather than making exploration the sole focus.
What is Volcan Defend the Tower?
Play as Sollum, a Vanguard soldier who explores a restored but dangerous Earth after waking from cryogenic sleep without memories.
The game combines third-person shooting, open-world exploration, and tower defense. Missions guide exploration through the Waipoua forest while the Ganthar launch repeated attacks on the Volcan Towers. Players can equip primary and secondary weapons, use melee attacks, activate four turret weapons, and develop characters and turrets through more than 30 abilities. The world contains hundreds of enemies and items, enemy types with different behaviors, teleport checkpoints, and a boss for each act. Additional systems include autosave, voice logs, a day-night cycle, and real-time progress tracking for environmental purification.
