Our take on Corona Borealis
Rather than treating romance as the sole relationship structure, the game gives friendship and family ties a role in its branching story. Its weekly scheduler and stat changes also replace a purely linear visual-novel progression with route planning.
What is Corona Borealis?
Corona Borealis is a choice-driven visual novel about June Pinegar, who spends the summer working at her father’s country café after leaving New York City.
Players decide how she uses each week, raise stats, and choose questions for the people around her. These decisions affect the story, relationships, and special endings. The game includes three possible romantic interests, alongside a focus on friendship and June’s strained relationship with her father. More than 30 questions offer additional character interactions, while up to eight endings reflect different choices. The game also features an original soundtrack and partial voice acting with Justin Briner, Dallas Reid, and Jill Harris.
