Dead Wishes is a thriller-romance visual novel and dating simulator about a person facing depression, financial collapse, and the death of their parents.
The story branches into routes involving the mafia, criminal alliances, honest work, caretaking, homelessness, and religious repentance. Romance and survival are connected to choices that can lead to happiness or fatal outcomes. Twelve character routes feature six men and six women, with subplots distributed across the routes. Reading every route reveals the wider connections between the characters and events. The game contains more than 250,000 words, partial voice acting, they/them player pronouns, over 350 choices, more than 35 endings, and 36 CG illustrations.
