Our take on Monstrous Lovers
Instead of focusing on fantasy adventure or monster combat, the game places its supernatural setting inside a bureaucratic workplace. Its central tension comes from human-monster coexistence, office friction, and romantic choices rather than conventional genre conflict.
What is Monstrous Lovers?
This Boys’ Love visual novel follows Christopher Wells, a young government employee responsible for peaceful relations between humans and monsters.
Frustrated with his minor bureaucratic role, Christopher transfers to Saint George, a city with the country’s largest monster population. The local office is understaffed and underfunded, while some colleagues object to working with a human. Players make choices across four routes involving four love interests, with eight possible endings. The story addresses identity, belonging, and the lengths people may go to achieve their aims. The game contains more than 160,000 words, includes partial voice acting by professional performers, and is available in English and Spanish.
