Our take on Confabulation: Homestead
The defining structure is a no-save investigation where photographing environmental changes keeps an advancing threat at bay while a police deadline counts down.
What is Confabulation: Homestead?
Confabulation: Homestead is a horror puzzle game set around a home and its property.
Players inspect rooms and outdoor areas for objects that have changed, then photograph those alterations with a modified camera to restore them and keep the threat away. Solving puzzles opens new locations and reveals story details about a missing family. A police arrival creates an approximately one-hour time limit, while too many uncorrected changes make the lurking presence more aggressive. There is no saving between attempts, and losing requires a restart. Puzzle layouts, object changes, and horror events vary between plays. Standard, Hard, and Endless modes are available, alongside multiple endings, statistics, and achievements.
