Our take on Community Inc
The focus on running a village gives up a simpler management loop: workers have individual traits and needs, can conflict with one another, and may set fires. Weather, events, crafting, trade, and combat add further decisions, but also make the settlement harder to manage.
What is Community Inc?
Community Inc is a village-management simulation where a new manager oversees workers called Lings.
Build and furnish a settlement, assign work, provide wages, food, clothing, and a healthy environment, and monitor individual traits and attributes. More than 150 items can be crafted, including storage furniture, clothing, weapons, and armor. Trade, talk, or fight with other races, collect treasures, accept contracts, and use Surplus to expand the community. Sandbox maps generate nature based on an initial profile, while custom maps can be built separately. Weather affects food and workers, and random events can disrupt the village. Workers may create conflicts or start fires, and the village can be sold if things go wrong.
