- Solo players looking specifically for a single-player-only experience may not use the local, online, and co-op modes
Our take on CastleStorm
The bounce point arrives when castle construction becomes part of battle preparation: layout choices affect available troops and resources, then the fight adds artillery, ground forces, spells, and changing objectives in real time. Players wanting a simple attack-and-defend loop may stop at this combined management layer.
What is CastleStorm?
CastleStorm combines physics-based castle destruction with tower defense, real-time strategy, and resource management.
Players control battles involving medieval artillery, ground troops, and spells while defending their own castle. A story campaign follows Sir Gareth against the Vikings across twelve environments. Battles can be won by capturing a flag, destroying an opposing castle, or completing another level objective. A castle editor allows custom fortresses whose layouts affect available troops and resources. Multiplayer includes local and online 1-versus-1 matches, plus two-player Survival and Last Stand co-op modes. New weapons and troop classes become available as the campaign progresses.

CastleStorm compared to similar games

Anomaly: Warzone Earth also mixes action and strategy with tower defense, but places the action in a near-future alien invasion and uses a reversed tower-defense structure.
