Our take on Broken Blade: Prelude
The casual positioning may understate the presence of a Hard mode for experienced players. The game therefore presents a lower-difficulty default while also including a separate option aimed at players seeking greater challenge.
What is Broken Blade: Prelude?
Broken Blade: Prelude is a fantasy strategy role-playing game set in Midgel, where humans and monsters coexist.
After Emperor Sigmond is assassinated, the former imperial princess Camomile and her companions face a changed world and new trials. Players act as an observer accompanying them. Battles focus on strategy, while character development uses skill trees for selecting abilities. Conversations build bonds with party members. The game combines character illustrations, retro pixel art, and animated combat. Its difficulty is lower than that of other strategy RPGs, and a Hard mode is available.
