Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players seeking a low-consequence combat game may dislike losing the active weapon and its runes on death
- Players wanting a single persistent build may find repeated runs and weapon recovery restrictive
- Players looking for exploration-focused adventure games may find the combat and dungeon structure too narrow
Our take on Bloody Heaven 2
The permanent-upgrade system may soften repeated defeats, but a death can still remove the active weapon and every rune attached to it. That loss is a central constraint on build experimentation, especially when a preferred weapon is not recovered in the next attempt.
What is Bloody Heaven 2?
This dungeon crawler centers on repeated runs, combat, and weapon customization through runes.
Four core moves—quick strikes, charged attacks, special abilities, and evasive rolls—each have weapon slots that can receive runes and define a fighting approach. As a Heaven agent, players select from more than 3 classes and wield 12 weapon categories while facing demons across 4 chapters and over 20 monster varieties. Enemies yield gems that can be converted into weapon inlays, granting different abilities. Death removes the equipped weapon and its runes, although a later run may uncover that lost weapon. Upon rebirth, gems gathered during the attempt turn into dust, which can be spent on permanent improvements.
