Play it if you…
Good fit- Board-game strategy fans who want card drafting and clan conflict
- Players who prefer tactical choices involving both battles and non-battle routes to glory
- Groups seeking local hotseat or online matches for up to five players
Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players seeking a short, self-contained match may find the three-age contest a longer strategic arc.
- Those who prefer combat to be the sole route to victory may not enjoy a game where losing or dying can also contribute to glory.
- Players looking for a single-player-only experience may not want the emphasis on multiplayer rankings and leaderboards.
Our take on Blood Rage: Digital Edition
The game ties its contest to a fixed three-age arc, so its strategic decisions lead toward a shared Ragnarök endpoint rather than an open-ended campaign. Its routes to glory also complicate straightforward battle-focused play: combat is central, but victory does not always go to the clan that wins fights.
What is Blood Rage: Digital Edition?
Blood Rage: Digital Edition adapts a strategy board game in which players lead Viking clans competing for glory before the third and final age ends with Ragnarök.
Choose cards through a drafting system, manage resources, and command warriors as clans raid villages, fight rivals, encounter Norse mythological creatures, and complete quests. Battles are not the only route to glory: a clan can also gain from losing or from its warriors dying in battle or during Ragnarök. The digital edition offers solo play against AI, local hotseat multiplayer, and online multiplayer with ranked matches and leaderboards. Games support up to five players, and the edition includes clans and God Gifts cards from the board game's fifth-player expansion.
