Our take on Bionic Commando
Rather than treating movement as a way to cross the level between fights, this action game makes the bionic arm its central traversal system. Swinging, climbing, wall-walking, and route selection replace standard platforming across a three-dimensional city.
What is Bionic Commando?
Nathan Spencer returns five years after defeating the Imperials, only to be imprisoned by the government and sentenced to death.
On the day of his execution, terrorists trigger an experimental weapon that devastates Ascension City and seizes its air-defense network. Spencer is sent on an assault through the ruins. The game adapts the original's swing-and-shoot action to 3D spaces filled with skyscrapers, suspended roads, monorails, canyons, and rock faces. The bionic arm supports swinging, climbing, wall-walking, object manipulation, and attacks against enemies. Players can select routes through horizontal and vertical areas, use multiple weapons, and compete in multiplayer with tracked statistics. Steam Cloud stores save games for access on another PC.
