Lost Planet 3 follows Jim Peyton, a rig pilot who accepts a hazardous contract on E.
D. N. III with Neo-Venus Construction. Based at Coronis, he surveys unknown terrain, collects Thermal Energy samples, and confronts the planet’s indigenous Akrid. His utility rig provides field tools, shelter, and protection from the changing climate. The game combines battles on foot with first-person action and includes multiplayer modes alongside a single-player campaign. Its story explores new information about E. D. N. III and the colonial history connected to the Lost Planet setting. Jim’s motivation includes earning a large payment and returning home to his family.
