ActionIs Marabundle worth it for you?
We tell you who should skip it, too.
Play it if you…
Good fit- Players who enjoy sampling several genres in one purchase rather than sticking to a single game style
- Friends looking for a co-op puzzle platformer built around solving problems during a train journey
- Players interested in card battles, arcade aerial combat, or procedurally generated hack-and-slash play
Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players seeking one continuous game may hit a wall when the collection shifts between four separate games and play systems.
- Those who want a deep, extended experience in a single genre may find the bundle's short, varied-game format too fragmented.
- Solo players looking specifically for the train puzzle platformer cannot use its stated co-op play as intended.
- Players looking for a single-genre collection may not want a bundle spanning card combat, shooting, hack-and-slash, and platforming.
Our take on Marabundle
The likely bounce point is the shift between games: players who settle into one genre may lose interest when the bundle moves from turn-based card battles to aerial shooting, generated hack-and-slash combat, and co-op train puzzles. The train game also calls for a friend, so solo players may stop at that entry.
What is Marabundle?
Marabundle collects four games from Brazilian indie studios, each with a different style of play.
In a turn-based card game, compete in Bafo matches and collect cards. Dogfights in SLZ is an arcade shoot ’em up focused on aerial combat. Another game uses procedurally generated hack-and-slash combat as players cross an unfamiliar country and fight monsters. The fourth is a co-op puzzle platformer set on a train journey through Maranhão: two players solve puzzles to keep the train moving despite damaged wagons. The bundle combines these four distinct games rather than following one shared genre or play system.
